Brooklyn Mall in Pretoria is hosting the #AvonBeautyStore POP-UP shop until Sunday 25 November 2018. Make-up artist Mathapelo is available for make-overs and beauty advice. She performed some of her magic on me and then shared some great make-up tips below.
Avon Make-up Tips from Mathapelo
1. Foundation
Always use a good Moisturizer before applying any make-up or foundation to your skin. Moisturizer helps to soften and protect your skin, thereby priming it for make-up to blend easily and stay put for longer. Use a moisturizer with sun protection to prevent sun damage and early ageing.
After moisturizing, it’s a good idea to apply a primer such as Avon Anew Perfect Skin Instant Blurring Treatment. Then apply your liquid foundation evenly around your face, taking care to blend especially under your jawline. Use a with a good foundation brush for a natural look and even coverage.
You can then apply Avon pressed powder over your foundation to achieve a shine-free look. Do not apply powder directly onto your skin as it can cause damage.
The Avon all over face make-up brush is perfect for an even finish.
If you have deep lines, avoid powder and rather opt for a dewy foundation finish instead.
2. Beautiful Brows
Fuller defined brows are on fleek!
Brush your brows upwards with your Avon dual brow brush and then use an Avon glimmerstick brow definer to create your desired shape. It’s helpful to use the Avon brow stencils for the perfect shape every time. You can also try the Avon brow kit that comes with a brow gel and powder, as well as a double sided applicator brush.
Finally apply concealer above and below the brow to highlight the shape even more.
3. Glow & Shine: NEW Mark Magix Skin Finishing Stix & old favourite Avon True Glow Pearls Bronzing Pearls
Apply Avon True Glow Bronzing Pearls as a blush on your cheek bones, in an upward angle. Keep the colour above the bottom of your nose. You can also use Avon True Glow Bronzing Pearls to contour your face. See the guide below.
