The Avon South Africa August 2017 Brochure is always a very special one because of Women’s Month. As I am sure that you know, Avon is well known as The Company for Women – and a few Good Men – and this has been evident throughout Avon’s history, going back to the very first Avon Lady, Mrs. Albee.
Mrs. Albee, although not able to vote for being a woman, was the first general agent for what was to become the world famous Avon brand that we know and love today. We as South Africans love talking about empowerment. That is exactly what Avon has been doing for over 125 years: empowering women!
Women who were not traditionally allowed to work, or perhaps more relevant to today’s life do not have time to take a full time job because of other commitments, are able to easily create their own business (job opportunity) by providing a service to friends and family by offering them quality beauty products, cosmetics and accessories at competitive prices, delivered straight to them every month.
In South Africa we are all aware of the strife of the unemployed and our youth are often stressed the future. Many of us need to supplement our income due to the ever increasing cost of living in our society today. Avon has been a game changer for hundreds and thousands of households in our struggling economy by offering this opportunity to South Africans – and these women (including myself) have created successful and enjoyable working situations for ourselves.
There is no need for me to look for a job. I have a job, a passion…and I have so many wonderful people that I get to share this with. Every time someone joins my Avon team, I know that they now have the power to build a successful business and take pride in herself and her work.
