We blinked and now it’s December and another year has passed us by…and there’s probably some “should’ve/would’ve/could’ve” thoughts going through your mind when you look back at yet another tumultuous year…but then there’s the realisation that you did in fact transform over these 11 months. The you reading this message is definitely not the same person who stepped into January 2021. Maybe you seem or feel the same…but if you look closely, you have become more as you gathered all the life experiences and lessons that 2021 had to offer. Looking ahead and setting goals and new year resolutions is a great practice. But we cannot move forward without reflecting on, and moving beyond our past lessons. This helps prevent us from perpetuating useless or detrimental habits and thought patterns. Look back at some of your experiences during 2021 and acknowledge the path that you walked. Own your lessons and your life, and then in that power start to consider your forward trajectory and look ahead at how you would like to grow and evolve even more as we head into next year, knowing that no matter what, it will be transformational.

So this time of year is of course our gifting season. From Chanukah to year-end thank you gifts and presents under the Christmas tree…there’s an excuse to spoil everyone! Some things to keep in mind when shopping for festive gifts:

Start early
Support small businesses (including AVON reps, Justine consultants, etc.)
Make a list
Stick to a budget
Get creative with gift wrap. Kitchen towels or scarves can be used as gift wrap and could be part of your gift or recycle newspaper/craft paper or make your own gift boxes
Think about how the receiver will react when they open their gift and let that be your guide to finding their perfect gift
Always give with love without expecting anything in return
